Dear Diary,
During English class, I learned about health and body image. This issue is mainly about 'teenagers'.
Many teenagers are interested in body image and they want to be like celebrities without efforts which are the team of make up artists and personal trainers. They just see the final product. So people see these impossibly beautiful people in magazines and web sites, and think they have to look like that. Magazines and websites sometimes show some pictures and say "This is what you should be like. Skinny equals Happy." Do you think is it true? I will say "Absolutely not." I don't think it is not always good for people. When I read an article which is about health and body image, my friend flashed into my mind. One of my friends, she always says "I'm so fat and ugly, eveyone will thinks like me! so I need to be on a diet and be skinny!! " But I think she is fine , pretty and looks nice. Therefore, I want to advise her.
According to the article, we need to change our attitudes towards our bodies and have confidence about our bodies. Streech who is againg out of the teenage demographic said "Your weight doesn't tell you what kind of person you are." I also agree with this sentence. Teenagers who worry about their weight and other people's thought, don't need to get a lot of stress.
I hope my friend changes her mind and gain confidence though my diary.
Love,
Jiwon
